Now, customers can submit their meter reading themselves by using Apna Meter, Apni Reading, before the electricity team visits for bill reading. It makes the process clear, fair, and correct. With this feature, bills show the real electricity use—no more guessing or wrong numbers. The Government of Pakistan also supports this system, allowing users to take a photo of their meter and send the reading directly from their mobile.
What is the Apna Meter Apni Reading Smart App?
“Apna Meter, Apni Reading” means “reading the electricity meter by reading the smart app.” It is a campaign by MEPCO that allows people to take their own meter readings and share them directly with the MEPCO company.
By using the Apna Meter Apni Reading Smart App, users can take a picture of their power meter, enter the reading, and send it to the company. The bill is then made based on their own submitted reading.
How to Submit Apna Meter, Apna Reading
You can send your own meter reading to MEPCO by using the Apna Meter Apni Reading Power Smart App.
- Apna meter apni reading app download
- Click on the “Apna Meter, Apni Reading” or “Self Billing” section.
- Enter your 14-digit reference number (that is printed above the section 10-digit number on your electricity bill).
- Tap the camera icon and take a clear picture of your electricity meter showing the reading and serial meter number.
- Submit the picture before the due date.
- Enter the OTP for verification.
- Once verified, your reading will be submitted successfully.
- You will get a confirmation message after submission.
When your bill is ready, you can check and download it anytime from the Mepco bill online.
